[[ This has been copied over from the official Devlog for "Plaine Star: Oh Deer, Someone's Home" ]]
We've been working on the final big update to "Oh Deer, Someone's Home," but we've changed so much about the base game for this update that it warrants clarifying. The pre-existing graphics are getting a small overhaul, namely how the dialogue boxes appear, and we've decided to crop the dialogue art for Plaine in order to further reduce the game's total file size. This won't affect the full-screen art which can be viewed when interacting with the window in Plaine's room, or the dining room exit, but removing an extraneous 120 pixels from each image reduced each image's total size by an average of 11 KB.
As for the music, we've decided to bite the bullet and just keep the placeholder music made by Alias Conrad Coldwood in place. We're going to switch where some tracks play around, and change "NotSafe" (the original theme for the "hiding" event) to "Unreasonable Behaviour" (which is closer to the intended feeling we want players to experience during the timed events). We apologize for being unable to produce the music that we wanted to include with the game, but the last few months have been a struggle for everyone financially and using Audacity to splice music didn't work.
